Travel back in time more than 1,000 years to explore life in the Middle Ages! Discover the stories behind medieval objects in the Glencairn collection, enjoy hands-on activities that get you up close with stained glass, weapons and armor, sculpture, manuscripts, and more.
Each participant will be able to create a medieval-style manuscript of their own inspired by stories and objects that are important in their own lives.
This program is recommended for students ages 7–12 but is open to the whole family. This is not a drop-off event. One adult per group is required to attend.
Adults, seniors, and students are $8 each; children 4 and under are free but will not have supplies provided.

Step back in time and join us at Glencairn Museum for our family-friendly Ancient Cultures Program!
Learn about the ritual of mummification in ancient Egypt, travel to ancient Rome to meet gods and goddesses, uncover temple gifts in ancient Greece, and investigate the protective art of ancient Mesopotamian palaces!
Explore each culture through a different hands-on project, including cuneiform clay tablets, protective amulets, and symbolic jewelry.
This program is recommended for students ages 7–12 but is open to the whole family. This is not a drop-off event. One adult per group is required to attend.

This free outdoor event invites visitors to stroll the grounds, bring a camera, and experience the beauty and grandeur of Bryn Athyn’s historic architecture at night.

Our incredibly popular pysanky egg dyeing workshops are back! Join us for a morning or afternoon of artistic exploration as our skilled instructor, Wendy Hallstrom, leads you through the historic and intricate process of creating beautiful eggs in the Ukrainian Easter tradition. Access to exploring the first floor of the Museum, including The Sacred Art of Ethiopia exhibition, is included in the workshop admission fee.
