Glencairn Museum is a place where families can come to learn and have fun. We regularly host family-friendly events and have many entertaining and educational activities available for you and your family.

When you visit Glencairn Museum, there are lots of things for the whole family to do:
Outdoor Photo Scavenger Hunt | Free | All ages
Families are encouraged to explore the grounds and exterior of Glencairn, while searching for specific architectural features, which can be photographed and posted on social media. Tag us @glencairnmuseum and use #glencairnscavengerhunt. This tour is free of charge, and delivered through a web application. A smartphone is required.
Historic District Scavenger Hunt | Free | All ages
Explore all three buildings in the Bryn Athyn Historic District with this free, outdoor scavenger hunt. Pick up a copy and a pencil at the kiosk outside Glencairn’s main entrance.
Easter Eggs Exhibition Interactive Experience | Free | All ages
Visit Glencairn between Saturday, March 2–Sunday, May 5, 2024 to explore our new temporary exhibition, and try out our interactive experience about the symbolism of eggs! More information about access times available on the exhibition webpage.

Spring Homeschool Day | $6 | All ages
Join us for a morning full of activities and crafts in our brand-new studio spaces, explore the Museum’s galleries to discover worlds of the past, and take a stroll through our beautiful gardens to learn about spring’s significance in various cultures. Registration is required.

Family Egg Scratching Workshop | $15 | Ages 5+
Join us for this family-friendly experience to discover the art of egg scratching and decoration! Tap into your creativity as you learn to carefully etch intricate designs onto eggshells, creating one-of-a-kind masterpieces. With expert guidance and all the materials provided, this workshop provides a fun experience to spend time together for families of all ages. With the option of attending either a morning or afternoon session, this promises to be a fantastic opportunity to create some lasting family memories!
