BRYN ATHYN, MONTGOMERY CO, PA (19 NOVEMBER 2019)—For an experience of the beauty, magic and pageantry of Christmas that lifts the spirit and celebrates the story behind the holiday for all ages, Glencairn Museum presents its annual Christmas at Glencairn series beginning the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, November 29, and continuing for five and a half weeks. Events and activities include the 11th year of its World Nativities exhibition, tours that run daily through Sunday, January 5, the Christmas Sing Concert and a holiday-themed workshop.

(The Museum does close December 9 & 10 for the Christmas Sing Concert and December 24 & 25, so please plan accordingly.)

“Christmas at Glencairn is a visually rich and meaningful experience,” says Ed Gyllenhaal, who curates the museum’s acclaimed collection of religious art and architecture as well as the popular exhibitions assembled each Christmas season. “We exhibit Christmas art and artifacts from both past and present, and explore how individuals celebrate the holiday here in Pennsylvania and around the world.”

Glencairn Museum opens World Nativities and Christmas Traditions in Many Lands exhibitions Nov. 27

BRYN ATHYN, MONTGOMERY CO, PA—Glencairn Museum’s annual World Nativities exhibition debuts two exciting new features when it launches to the public the day after Thanksgiving, November 27.

In addition to the World Nativities exhibition, which includes more than 40 Nativity scenes from around the globe displayed in settings created by Bryn Athyn artisan Kathleen Glenn Pitcairn, is the Christmas Traditions in Many Lands exhibition. Both are open to visitors of all ages from 12 to 4:30 every day through January 10 except December 14, 15, 24 and 25—no registration needed to tour these exhibitions at one’s own pace. Suggested donation for both: $5 per person.

Glencairn Museum’s Christmas Traditions in Many Lands opens Nov. 27, features antique and vintage memorabilia

BRYN ATHYN, MONTGOMERY CO, PA—For the second year in a row, Glencairn Museum and the National Christmas Center and Museum, located just outside of Lancaster, PA, have collaborated on a holiday exhibition of vintage and antique Christmas memorabilia in the Great Hall of Glencairn.

Christmas Traditions in Many Lands opens the day after Thanksgiving, November 27, at noon, along with the World Nativities exhibition, which includes more than 40 Nativity scenes from around the globe. BRYN ATHYN, MONTGOMERY CO, PA—Glencairn Museum once again has planned an impressive array of programs, tours and exhibitions that present the wonder, beauty and joy of the Christmas story to entertain, sooth, enrich, delight and inspire those of all ages this holiday season.

This season’s schedule runs the Friday after Thanksgiving through Sunday, January 10. The Museum is closed December 14, 24 and 25 and until 7:15pm on December 15 when doors open for Christmas Sing.
