Bryn Athyn artist Winfred S. Hyatt designed this Christmas card featuring Mary in shadow, tenderly gazing at the Christ Child. A lamb rests at the forefront of the scene. The card bears the handwritten message, "Peace on earth, good will toward men" (Luke 2:14). This card was sent by Hyatt and his wife, Peggy, to Raymond and Mildred Pitcairn (date unknown). Hyatt is remembered principally for his work at Bryn Athyn’s stained-glass studio, which produced windows for both Bryn Athyn Cathedral and Glencairn. He worked for the Pitcairns from 1916 until his passing in 1959.
