Readers of the Bible have always found the thirteen chapters about the Tabernacle to be some of the most difficult chapters to make sense of. People have used a number of different methods to find deeper religious meaning within the text. By studying how people have interpreted the Tabernacle account, we can learn a great deal about their religious beliefs. The Tabernacle is an excellent vehicle for learning about various Jewish and Christian religions, how they read the Bible, how they understand the relationship of God and humanity, and how they see their place in the universe. Here we present just five categories of interpretation, including the New Church, whose members built the model now at Glencairn Museum. Late Antiquity
