Ben, a former Academy of the New Church student and Bryn Athyn resident, is currently enrolled at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he served as the orchestra's Concertmaster in 2008. He was Associate Concertmaster of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra from 2004 to 2006, and has appeared on NPR's From the Top.
