Festival Days
Glencairn Museum hosts four annual themed festivals, which include family-friendly activities, tours, self-guided veiwing of all the galleries, music, and our Castle Café. Medieval Festival
Our Medieval Festival happens each February. It is co-sponsored by Bryn Athyn College, and history students from the College assist with giving tours and creating an atmosphere for the event.The Medieval Festival usually includes recreation pilgrimage tours, stained glass painting, manuscript illuminating and mosaic making. Live music played on replica period instruments fills the Great Hall, and visitors can try their hands at making their own medieval craft.

Sacred Arts Festival
Our Sacred Arts Festival happens in April, and explores religious life through art and artifacts and brings together a variety of beliefs and religious expressions of faith.Sacred Arts Festival activities may include the creation of a Tibetan Buddhist Sand Mandala, stone carvering, and live demonstrations of a replica Gutenberg-era printing press. Mosaics and stained glass blowing and painting demonstrations, while live sacred music and family activities round out the event.

Halloween Festival
Our Halloween Festival happens at the end of October, and features exhibits and activities about the history of Halloween traditions reaching back over the centuries since the holiday's beginning. Explore the galleries and art by looking for clues in the Harry Potter scavenger hunt. Don't forget to come in costume! -
Christmas Festival
Our Christmas Festival, Glad Tidings, happens the first Sunday in December, and is one of our most popular events each year.
It features our stunning World Nativities exhibition, which includes highlights from Glencairn's collection of more than three hundred Nativity sets from around the world. You can also enjoy holiday refreshments at the Castle Cafe, live Christmas music, a family activity and a Christmas Quest. Finish up your visit by getting some of your holiday shopping done at Glencairn's gift shop and a Ten Thousand Village sale!
