Coming from either north or south, turn west onto Cathedral Road from the stoplight on Route 232/Huntingdon Pike/Second Street Pike. There are large signs reading ‘Bryn Athyn Cathedral,’ ‘Glencairn Museum,’ and ‘Cairnwood Estate.’

Driving Directions

Byberry Road has height and weight restrictions. A Byberry Road bridge over the CSX-Trenton Line railroad tracks has a 3 ton weight restriction. There is a stone bridge over Byberry Road with a 9’ 7” clearance.

From the WEST (via Pa. Turnpike):

Take Exit 343 (old Exit 27, Willow Grove, Doylestown). Stay to the right after the toll and merge onto Route 611 North. Immediately take a sharp right at the first stoplight onto Mill Rd. (this becomes Warminster Rd. when it crosses York Rd.) Turn right at Byberry Rd. After approximately 3 miles, take a right onto Rt. 232 South (Huntingdon Pike - also known as Second Street Pike). Turn right at the first light (Cathedral Rd.). The Bryn Athyn Cathedral will be on your left. At the top of the small hill turn right into the Glencairn Museum parking lot. Handicapped parking is located on the cobblestone near the entrance to the building.

From CENTER CITY, Philadelphia:

Take Broad Street (Rt. 611) North. 611 will bear right and turn from Broad St. into Old York Rd. (The distance from City Hall to the point where 611 turns into Old York Rd. is approximately 7 ¼ miles.) Follow Old York Rd. for approximately 2 ¼ miles. Turn right onto Meetinghouse Rd. This turn will come just after a synagogue on the right. Follow Meetinghouse for approximately 3 miles until it meets Rt. 232 (Huntingdon Pike). Go NORTH (left) on Huntingdon Pike. Continue on 232 for approximately 3 miles and turn left onto Cathedral Road (the next traffic light after crossing Tomlinson). The Bryn Athyn Cathedral will be on your left. At the top of the small hill turn right into the Glencairn Museum parking lot. Handicapped parking is located on the cobblestone near the entrance to the building.

From PHILADELPHIA via Rt. 76 (Schuylkill Expressway):

Take 76 WEST to Roosevelt Blvd. (Rt. 1) Exit off of Rt. 1 onto Broad Street (Rt. 611). Go NORTH (left) on Broad Street for approximately 2 ¼ miles. 611 will bear right and turn from Broad St. into Old York Rd. Follow Old York Rd. for approximately 2 ¼ miles. Turn right onto Meetinghouse Rd. This turn will come just after a synagogue on the right. Follow Meetinghouse for approximately 3 miles until it meets Rt. 232 (Huntingdon Pike). Go NORTH (left) on Huntingdon Pike. After approximately 2 ¼ miles, Huntingdon Pike will cross Rt. 63 (at the Bethayres shopping center). After approximately 1 mile turn left onto Cathedral Road. You will notice the Bryn Athyn Cathedral on your left. At the top of the small hill turn right into the Glencairn Museum parking lot. Handicapped parking is located on the cobblestone near the entrance to the building.

From the WEST (via Blue Rt. & Pennsylvania Turnpike):

Take Blue Rt. (Rt. 476) NORTH to Pa. Turnpike EAST. Take Exit 343 (old Exit 27, Willow Grove, Doylestown). Stay to the right after the toll and merge onto Route 611 North. Take Rt. 1 SOUTH to Rt. 132 WEST (Street Rd.) Take Rt. 132 WEST (Street Rd.) for about 4 ½ miles to Rt. 232 SOUTH (Huntingdon Pike - also known as Second Street Pike). Take Huntingdon Pike for about 3 miles to Cathedral Road, the light after Byberry Rd. Turn right onto Cathedral Rd. The Bryn Athyn Cathedral will be on your left. At the top of the small hill turn right into the Glencairn Museum parking lot. Handicapped parking is located on the cobblestone near the entrance to the building.

From ROOSEVELT BLVD. (coming north):

Turn left from Roosevelt Blvd. onto Byberry Rd (at Nabisco plant). Go WEST on Byberry, crossing Bustleton Ave., Philmont Ave., Pine Road, Buck Road (among others). At Rt. 232 (Huntingdon Pike) Turn left (SOUTH). Turn right at Cathedral Rd. The Bryn Athyn Cathedral will be on your left. At the top of the small hill turn right into the Glencairn Museum parking lot. Handicapped parking is located on the cobblestone near the entrance to the building.

From the NORTH:

South on New Jersey Turnpike. WEST on Pa. Turnpike (Exit 6) over the Delaware River. Take Exit 351 (old Exit 28, Philadelphia) off the Pa. Turnpike. Bear right immediately after going through the toll, onto Rt. 1 South. Stay in the right lane and exit off Rt. 1 almost immediately (about 1/8 of a mile) onto the Street Rd. exit - Rt. 132 WEST. Take Rt. 132 WEST (Street Rd.) for about 4 ½ miles to Rt. 232 SOUTH (Huntingdon Pike - also known as Second Street Pike). Take Huntingdon Pike for about 3 miles to Cathedral Road, the light after Byberry Rd. Turn right onto Cathedral Road (large signs say 'Bryn Athyn Cathedral' and 'Glencairn.'). The Bryn Athyn Cathedral will be on your left. At the top of the small hill turn right into the Glencairn Museum parking lot. Handicapped parking is located on the cobblestone near the entrance to the building.

From I-95:

Take the Woodhaven exit (WEST) to the very end, where you have to exit to the left (Evans). Turn right at the first light (Byberry Rd.) Go WEST on Byberry for approximately 4 miles. At Rt. 232 (Huntingdon Pike) Turn left (SOUTH). At first light, Cathedral Rd., turn right. The Bryn Athyn Cathedral will be on your left. At the top of the small hill turn right into the Glencairn Museum parking lot. Handicapped parking is located on the cobblestone near the entrance to the building.

From the LEHIGH VALLEY:

Take the Northeast Extension to Rt. 276 East. Take Exit 343 (old Exit 27, Willow Grove, Doylestown). Go North on Route 611 (bearing right). At the first light (immediate) turn right on Mill Rd. (this becomes Warminster Rd. when it crosses York Rd.) Turn right at Byberry Rd. Travel Byberry for approximately 3 miles. Turn right (south) onto Rt. 232 (Huntingdon Pike - also known as Second Street Pike). Turn right at the first light (Cathedral Rd.) The Bryn Athyn Cathedral will be on your left. At the top of the small hill turn right into the Glencairn Museum parking lot. Handicapped parking is located on the cobblestone near the entrance to the building.

From DELAWARE:

Take I-95 North to the Blue Route N. (476) to Pa. Turnpike East. Take Exit 343 (old Exit 27, Willow Grove, Doylestown). Go North on Route 611 (bearing right). At the first light (immediate) turn right on Mill Rd. (this becomes Warminster Rd. when it crosses York Rd.) Turn right at Byberry Rd. Travel Byberry for approximately 3 miles.
